Helpful Info About ESQG
We are a non-profit community organization for quilters,
a very active and dynamic quilt guild
on the beautiful shores of Lake Erie in Essex County, Ontario.
Meetings
General Meetings - The third Tuesday of the month, 7 p.m. @ Kingsville Arena
Members attend free and guests are asked to pay $5.00
Meetings include, guest speakers, trunk shows, member show and shares, occasional make and takes, library resources, raffles, vendors, and ESQG business meetings.
Birthday Meeting – Each May we celebrate the founding our ESQG with refreshments and no guest fee.
Executive Meetings- The first Tuesday of the month, 6:30 p.m. @ Woodslee Credit Union in Essex
Membership- $35.00 a year
This includes admittance to guild meetings, ESQG Newsletter, ESQG Online community (Google group and message board, see above link) access, ESQG Library resources, reduced workshop fees, and a priceless supportive community of quilters.
Projects
Charity - ESQG supports local and global charity projects through making and donating quilts and other hand sewn items to organizations and individuals in need.
Just For Fun - There often several challenges, exchanges, and monthly projects available for ESQG members.
Events
Workshops - ESQG presents several workshops throughout the year, where gifted quilt designers, authors and teachers present interesting and valuable techniques and projects.
Dinners - To kick off the holiday season early and inspire members to finish up those holiday projects they've been working on ESQG holds its annual Christmas Dinner in November.
Shows - ESQG presents a guild show every four years (2010, “Not Your Grandma’s Quilt Show”)
